My design practice centers on cultivating endearment to the inanimate. My studio, marmar strives to create objects in which use itself becomes an expression of personality.

 

My ethos is to craft playful, beautiful objects that come alive.

marmar studio lives at the meeting point of minimalism and familiarity - where I can explore the bonds people form with the objects they encounter daily, grounded in the belief that we are naturally inclined to endow the inanimate with spirit. I consciously and unconsciously anthropomorphize mechanical, architectural, and animal forms, incorporating them into my designs so that viewers see themselves reflected in the built environment. I hope to make that moment of recognition between person and object feel intimate.
